Going to vegas for first couple days of march madness. Have hotels narrowed down to wynn, encore, and mandalay. Which one would you recommend? Thanks

THE HOTEL at mandalay Bay. You will need to specifiy that. It is much more expensive but much better. Also, very close to the sportsbook.

My wife and I thought the Wynn rooms were nice, but not worth the price.

Wynn. Encore is connected to Wynn, don't believe it has a sportsbook there. It is catered to the Asians. I have a friend who deals at the Encore.

Encore should be the best room, but also the worst value.

If you want a nice pool, go with Mandalay.
Wynn looks like a nice place, but on the subdued side.

The sportsbook at the Wynn was fantastic the weekend i stayed there a few years ago. Watching the frozen 4, bases and playing horses every 2 minutes. $4 ex boxes and tri boxes and they handed out drink tickets like candy. Granted we were playing every race but had a stack of drink tickets to choke a horse, lots of places (esp. mandalay) are tight with drinks the last few years. If you're a degenerate that sits at the book all day until the last game is played this is the place. Great atmosphere, food and service.

Or you could grab a spot in the bleachers at the Vegas Club.
